NECCO® Wafers was created in 1847 by Oliver Chase who invented the first American candy machine, a lozenge cutter. Today, approximately 630 million NECCO® Wafers are made each year. Placed edge to edge, they would go around the world twice! NECCO® Wafers expand into more holidays with a Candy Cane Edition consisting of only peppermint wafers and Sour Wafers consisting of 6 tart flavors.
